days 5,6 & 7

Day 5 started out with "big Steve" all decked out in full battle rattle.

Looking a little like a modern day John Wayne...

Then we headed over to Oura Wan beach where we stayed in a couple cottages there for all 3 days.

Day 6 we took a drive and ended up in Higashi Village.  Everyone found a little treat here at a little market.  Grams won the strange treat award when she ate an entire container filled with dried smelts, shrimp and almonds.

On the way back to Oura Wan we stopped off at a beach during low tide and combed it for shells.  That was a fun time and we found some pretty good treasures.

None as good as Ella's treasures she found...

Then back to Oura Wan to cool off in the water and hang out on the beach.

The last night we were there we found a great restaurant called Yanbaruya.

The food was fantastic and we all enjoyed the evening.  Being located up north, they must not have too many Americans eat there.   There was very little English spoken by any of the workers and we felt like we were on display as workers stood watching us from the back as we ate.  I think they must have drawn straws to see who would have to take our order.  It was all quite comical and we had a good time.

I love Oura Wan! Had one of my most relaxing and greatest vacations there. A week of doing nothing, the only thing that would have made it perfect is to have Aaron there with us! Such fun adventures you are having!
