YAY! We were so excited to take another trip up to Okuma with 3 other families. Okuma is such a great and beautiful place, we love it and had a lot of fun with friends there.

Some of us took a little hike up Mt. Yonaha. It is the tallest "mountain" on Okinawa.
Steve was awesome as he carried Ella the entire hike and on the way down she fell asleep in his arms.
We spotted this salamander and had to bug him for a picture.
The trail was full of beautiful bamboo trees.
Yes, I know, this is not a bamboo tree.
Once we made it to the top of Mt. Yonaha, we were so excited to be able to see the beautiful view of Okinawa...
Wait a minute... at the top we were still surrounded by bamboo trees and other thick vegetation. Needless to say, we didn't get to see our breath-taking view of Okinawa on the highest mountain. It was all still very beautiful and worth the hike.
Awww... isn't he so cute!! (sorry, I didn't mean to embarrass you, Morgan).
The fearless hiker families of Dalpias and Hershfeldt.
We can't go to Okuma without racing the go-carts. Even I got to ride this time... eat my dust Scott!!
Ella's first time! Don't let the look on her face fool you, she loved every minute of it and had to be pulled out of the cart kicking and screaming!
This view is one reason we love Okuma so much.
While we were there we asked a budding photographer friend of ours to take a family picture for us....
and 39 shots later.... we got a pretty good photo, thanks Jason (I could use an assistant). Can you tell it was windy? What's up with my hair?!
