Last weekend we took a little fishing trip to Kouri Island. It was absolutely beautiful there. Steve rigged up all 5 fishing poles for the kids and fixed all their knotted up fishing line and anything else they needed help with. Years of fishing with his Grandpa paid off and he was a good sport about it all. The boys and Mailee had a great time even though not one fish was caught.
Not too far from us were these fishermen cleaning their catch, an octopus. They were so nice to us and even shared some of their raw fish they had in their cooler. It tasted pretty good. Only 3 out of 7 of us tried it... wimps!
The ice cream stand was much more tempting after a hot day of fishing and swimming.
It was a long day, but well worth doing something the kids really enjoyed.

What a beautiful place. I can't believe you were one of the ones that ate the octopus. Yuk!
Thanks for inviting Jacob to go with you guys! He had so much fun! Your pictures, as usual, are great!
